A new audit process for Twitter’s APIs
The API audit team at Twitter has been tasked with looking at how the company’s audit process works.
They’re currently focused on how to reduce the number of auditing tickets and ensure a fair audit for all developers working on Twitter’s apps, but the company also said they’re looking at ways to make it more automated.
This means that developers can choose to have their APIs audited through an automated process or that their APIs can be audited by a human.
It will be interesting to see if this is the first time Twitter has rolled out automated audits for APIs, as they’ve also implemented automated APIs audits for iOS and Android before.
Twitter said they’ll also be looking at what other companies are doing with the APIs, which means this is likely a first for Twitter.
